linux command to chmod directories to 755, chmod files to 644

Here are two simple unix commands to chmod directories to 755 (drwxr-xr-x), while chmod’ing files to 644 (-rw-r–r–).

find . -type d -print0 | xargs -0 chmod 0755 # for directories
find . -type f -print0 | xargs -0 chmod 0644 # for files
